JONZI D

Jonzi D
Jonzi D is the Artistic Director of Breakin' Convention and Jonzi D Productions, an Associate Company of Sadler's Wells. He has been actively involved in British Hip Hop culture, rapping and b-boying in clubs and on the street since its genesis in the early eighties. Since graduating from the London Contemporary Dance School, Jonzi has been committed to the development of Hip Hop theatre, creating Lyrikal Fearta in 1995, and Aeroplane Man in 1999. He was an Associate Artist at The Place Theatre and has performed and created dance theatre pieces all over Europe, North America, Israel, New Zealand, Cuba and Southern Africa.
Jonzi D has directed pieces for Robert Hylton, Benji Reid, Jane Sekonya, Loop Dance Co, and ACE Dance and Music. As an MC/poet, Jonzi has worked with The Roots, Steve Williamson, Mannafest, Lenny Henry, MC Mell 'O' and toured with Gangstarr. He appeared on HBO's Def Poetry Jam, Channel 4's Faking It, and his short films Silence da bitchin and Aeroplane Man were also screened on Channel 4. In 1995, he was creative consultant on LWT's South Bank Show special documenting the art and culture of Hip Hop. He is creator and host of the successful Apricot Jam and Vertikal Cypher infamous Hip Hop music and open mic sessions. He presented the 2005 4Dance for Channel 4 television and was recently the performance mentor for Urban Classic at Hackney Empire in February 2006. Recently, Jonzi was listed as one of the top 10 positive black musical role models by MOBO and directed a new piece Hectic Dialectic as part of the Rozamira Festival in Moscow.
Jonzi D is currently developing a new piece, Markus the Sadist, which will tour in the UK in 2009.

BILLY BIZZNIZZ

Billy Bizznizz
Since early 1980, Billy Biznizz has lead his field as a UK DJ/Producer/Composer & Performer.
Strides that he has taken in helping put UK DJs on the map range from Radio, Club, Exhibition, Theatre and Studio Production.
Billy's theatre credits include Lyrikal Fearta and Aeroplane Man by Jonzi D, Generation Vex by Claire Missingham and musical director/performer for Robert Hylton Urban Classicism, touring both nationally and internationally.
Work with artists from USA to UK range from, Jungle Brother's, De La Soul and Public Enemy to London Posse, MCM and the Cookie Crew.
Radio credits include work with Choice FM's DJ 279 and Radio One's Tim Westwood. 1999 saw DJ Biznizz alongside DJ Pogo and DJ Cutmaster Swift, collectively known as THA EN4CERS, win the DMC UK Team Championships.
Currently Billy has been touring with Mercury Nominated Artist, TY, and as stand in DJ for US artist MOS DEF. Billy, who's the host for one of London's club nights SCRATCH, is known as an all round entertainer.

SUSAN REYNOLDS a.k.a BUSTAH

Susan Reynolds a.k.a Bustah
Susan Lawson-Reynolds aka Bustah has worked extensively in the music industry as a dancer & choreographer with artists such as Beyonce, Destiny's Child, Boyzone, Backstreet Boys, 5ive, Sean Paul, Jamelia, Beverley Knight, Michelle Gayle, Robyn and The Spice Girls and has appeared on TV shows such as Top Of The Pops, MTV Awards and The Brits.
Susan is also an accomplished actress. Her theatre journey began in 2001 on board Jonzi D's 'Aeroplane Man' at Queen Elizabeth Hall which was co-directed by Benji Reid before transferring to Theatre Royal Stratford East & she has most recently played the role of 'Pinky' & dance captain in 'The Harder They Come' at The Barbican.
Susan's theatre credits include 'Anansi Trades Places' (Talawa/The Shaw Theatre), 'Become A Man' (Hackney Empire Studio), 'Jamie The Saxt' (Finborough Theatre) 'The Snow Queen' (Theatre Royal Stratford East). 'Ska Ba Day' (Talawa/Greenwich Theatre), 'Unzipped 2005' (Talawa/Soho Theatre),'Wam Bam' (NT), 'Grace & The Don' (Talawa/Arts Theatre London), 'Da Boyz' and 'Jack and the Beanstalk' (Theatre Royal Stratford East). Her voice can be heard as the lead character in the internationally screened animated film Eva Goes to Foreign (Hibiscus/Animage Films), and 'Cool Rules' by Curtis James.
Susan is currently the Director for Dance & Movement for the Hackney Empire's Artist Development Program (ADP)

HAKEEM ONIBUDO

Hakeem Onibudo
Hakeem Onibudo is a choreographer/director and professional host who began teaching dance in 1995, forming the company Impact Dance. His work has enabled him to work with children, young people, amateurs, semi-professionals and professionals in projects varying from school workshops, TV performances and theatre productions.
These include work with BBC TV, Nickelodeon, CH4 (Endemol), ITV, Cosmopolitan Show, Duke of Edinburgh Awards, Sadler's Wells and Peacock Theatre. He is the creator of the unique street-style dance class XPRESS YO'SELF, which has been running at Danceworks for 13 years.
Hakeem has just choreographed the Pet Shop Boys' "Fundamental" World tour for 2006/07. He also worked alongside the Asian Dub Foundation, director Dave Freeman and designer Es Devlin on the English National Opera's Channel 4 commissioned "Gaddafi The Living Myth" which ran at The Coliseum, St Martin's Lane in September 2006.
Hakeem is currently developing Hip Hop duets including "Circular Disorientation" which premiered at Breakin' Convention 2007 at Sadler's Wells, and is also helping and supporting companies to produce high quality Hip-Hop Theatre work, with a new professional platform called TWO'S A COMPANY
